Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) Ltd, was formed in 1925 by 14 labourers, inspired by the teachings of Vagbhatanandan, one of the greatest socio-religious leaders of the Kerala Renaissance from Malabar. His philosophy of ‘Atmavidya’ gained an organisational form in Atmavidya Sangham in 1917.

Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) Ltd. is one of the most trusted brands in Kerala for delivery of projects on time, with quality that can match international standards. There are occasions, where ULCCS delivered projects in less than the estimated amount and gained the confidence of both the public and governments authorities in Kerala. Quality and predictable delivery helped ULCCS to receive major projects from government and non-government agencies. Till now, ULCCS has completed more than 7,500 major projects and more than 500 projects are in various stages of execution.

ULCCS was formed as part of a social movement to fight against social injustice, marginalization and other social anarchies prevalent during the pre-independent era. The prime objective of this society is to provide employment opportunities and livelihood support to the people in need with a vision to grow as a whole ecosystem. Today, it is looked up to for zero corruption, fair trade practices and credibility.

Our People, Our Strength

ULCCS Ltd is one of the oldest labour cooperatives completely manned and managed by the labourers. They are workers as well as decision-makers here, which gives them the feeling of ownership and treat every work as their own. This is one of the reasons why ULCCS is able to deliver every project with utmost perfection. Throughout its history, ULCCS did not experience even an hour’s labour unrest.
